景益鹏，1964年1月出生于浙江。 
 1992年获意大利高等研究生院博士学位，1993—2000年先后在美国亚里桑纳大学、德国马普天体物理研究所、日本东京大学从事天体物理研究工作。2000年回国负责上海天文台马普青年伙伴小组的工作。入选1998年中国科学院“百人计划”，并获2001年国家杰出青年科学基金。现任上海天文台研究员，博士生导师，马普伙伴小组负责人，上海天文台学术委员会主任，国家天文台宇宙学研究创新团组首席研究员，973《二十一世纪天体物理重大问题——星系形成与演化》项目专家委员会委员和子项目《宇宙大尺度结构与星系形成的理论和样本研究》负责人，中国科学院超级计算专家指导委员会委员，美国麻省大学（UMASS）兼职教授，北京大学兼职教授。 kaoyantj
 主要从事星系形成、宇宙结构形成、宇宙暗物质、宇宙暗能量、宇宙原初扰动等宇宙学基础前沿问题的研究。最近几年所取得的主要研究成果包括：建立了几个高分辨数值模拟程序，取得了一系列高质量、高精度宇宙结构的模拟样本，这些样本均属国际上同类模拟研究中精度最高、样本最全的模拟；首次发现了小质量暗晕的成团性比PS理论的预言要强得多，并提出了暗晕成团的精确公式，并被广泛用于预言星系和暗物质的成团性质，该工作也引发了许多修改PS理论的研究；首次提出了暗晕密集因子的对数正则分布公式，并被广泛用于预言星系的观测性质；发现暗晕的内部密度轮廓的幂指数在-1.1和-1.5之间，该工作已成为高精度研究暗晕结构的最有影响的三个工作之一；首次提出了描述暗晕内部物质分布的三轴椭球密度分布模型，并被广泛用于预言引力透镜、暗物质分布等多个研究领域；首次精确测量了星系对的速度弥散，其结果被广泛用于检验星系形成模型；最早提出了构造星系相关函数和速度弥散的星系团低权重模型，并已发展为目前流行的暗晕星系占有数模型。 正门对面
 在美国Astrophysical Journal、英国Monthly Notices of Royal Astronomical Society、美国Physical Review Letters等国际顶级期刊发表论文66篇，研究成果在宇宙学研究中得到普遍承认和广泛应用，已被包括Nature、Science在内的论文引用1500次，其中第一作者的占1000次（截至2004年11月）。 共济
